Bar Crawl - East Village Dive Bars!
Join us for another great Saturday night Bar Crawl - this time in the East Village, and specifically, Dive Bars! Our bar crawls are like a walking party. We spend about 45 minutes at each bar, and meander from bar to bar, enjoying good drinks & company throughout the night. It's loads of fun!
Our East Village Dive Bar Crawl will consist of the following:
1st Stop: Niagara Bar (7th street & Avenue A): The mural painted on this corner bar pays tribute to the late Joe Strummer, and attracts a crowd that appreciates (or at least recognizes) the working-class punk rock of the Clash.
2nd Stop: 7B (7th Street & Avenue B): The music is loud, the drinks are cheap and the rockers are plentiful at this quintessential East Village bar.
3rd Stop: Ace Bar (5th street between A and B): A bookcase displays 100+ vintage lunchboxes with nostalgic boob tube heroes like "Scooby Doo" and the "Dukes of Hazzard." Pool, Skiball & Pinball.
4th Stop: Sophie's (5th street, close to A): This long-standing neighborhood favorite still has its original oak bar, now worn down past the polish to a fine grain.
5th Stop: Joe's Bar (6th Street between A and B): One of the most faithful East Village dives.
6th Stop: 2A (2nd street & Avenue A): East Village dive around since the '80s features windowed walls on two bars on two stories, with a lounge upstairs. It blew up once.
Along the way, we can stop to help ourselves to the various pizza and falafel options around.

Regular Members - $8 in advance or $10 at the event.
