Holiday Train Show & World of Plants
An afternoon at the New York Botanical Gardens
Let's take a trip to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx for some very special holiday exhibitions:
Holiday Train Show
November 21, 2009–January 10, 2010
"The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory is transformed into an enchanting landscape, wrapped in the glow of twinkling lights. Model trains and trolleys zip along over bridges and on winding tracks past scaled replicas selected from the Garden’s collection of 140 New York landmarks, created entirely from plant parts."
A World of Plants
"Plants are essential to life on Earth, providing oxygen, filtering water, creating habitats, and supplying food, fuel, medicine, and shelter. A World of Plants showcases more than 3,000 species of plants found around the globe, from Africa to the Americas, all presented within 9 of the 11 glasshouse galleries of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, the largest Victorian-era glasshouse in the United States."
Meeting details coming soon. We'll have a Manhattan meeting spot, and Bronx meeting spot.
Price:
Unlimited & Meal Plan Members - FREE
Regular Members - $7 in advance or $10 at the event.
