Hi all! Be sure to sign up for our early evening party this Friday at Potion
Lounge! Starts at 7:00 pm. All the details are posted, so login & RSVP :-)

This Sunday we'll be checking out Mara's Homemade, a brand new spot on 6th
street between 1st and 2nd Avenue in the East Village. No, it's not Indian food!
In fact, it's 'New American Cuisine' and one of the only non-Indian restaurants
on the block. So let's help them stand out a bit, shall we?

Mara's Homemade is owned and operated by the former owners of Java & Jazz (you
may recall this great coffee shop just north of Union Square that sadly had to
close down...ahhh beaurocratic red tape). It's a family restaurant and Mara
actually does all the cookin'! (with a little help from her hired hands.)

Our menu will include a choice of: Cheese Blintzes, Pancakes with melted butter
& Vermont syrup, Challah French Toast, Corned Beef Hash with eggs & homefries,
Salami & Eggs with homefries, Matzah Brie with eggs (for those who long for
Passover), a variety of Omelettes, or Granola with 'Acai' (a Brazillian fruit
blended with soy milk and bananas). Everything comes with coffee or tea, as well
as juice or a Mimosa. There will also be baskets of homemade mini-muffins!
Mmmmm. Mini-muffins.

And to top it all off, there will be live jazz from 2:00 to 3:00! I think this
will be a good one :-)

It's $20, including your meal, tax and tip. Afterward, we'll take it to a bar
and keep the party going. Oh by the way, we will be having some students from
Columbia coming to do a news story about The Lunch Club as a class assignment.
They'd like to talk to whoever is interested in being a part of the story. No
obligations of course :-)

Please login & RSVP! See you Sunday!
