Hey guys - sign up for brunch today at Sidewalk Cafe (6th and A) and don't miss
the unlimited bloody marys and mimosas! :-) Starts at 2:00.
I want to thank everyone who came to Seasons Beatings on friday! It was a huge
success. We had tons of new people and tons of regular members as well. I'm
still recovering. Which is why I intend to have many bloody marys today. Won't
you join me? ;-)
I'd like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to spend some time and read
our Frequently Asked Questions which describe in detail the purpose of our club.
They can be found here:
http://www.thelunchclub.net/index.php?p=faq
Also, if you have not yet read it, please take a look at the New Member's Guide
to The Lunch Club which describes how all this works, from A to Z:
http://thelunchclub.net/index.php?p=guide
One point that I want to stress is the following: The Lunch Club exists to
create Friendships & Community. Hundreds and hundreds of people have come to
know each other through it. Something incredible is happening here.
One aspect of our club philosophy that makes us unique is that we are not a
dating service or a pickup scene. Please respect the community vibe of our
club. Make friends! Make connections and build community! However, please do
not attend our gatherings out of a desire to "hook up." This is not the place.
If you feel that people are "coming on to you" and you would like to report
abuse, please email me and I will deal with it. Upholding the integrity of our
club is of the utmost importance to me.
Of course, if you come with the truest of intentions and end up meeting someone
by chance, mazel tov. ;-) It's just that people come to The Lunch Club because
it's a safe place, away from the meat markets and singles/pickup scenes, where
they can pursue non-romantic relationships.
'Nuff said. I know this does not apply to most of you, but thank you all for
reading nonetheless. See you at Brunch!
