Hi all! Hope you had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Joyous Festivus or
whichever holiday you choose to celebrate! Thanks to everyone who came to our
2nd annual Christmas Day gathering for Chinese food & Movies. We had 60 people
join us :-) It was most festive. You can be sure it's a permanent tradition,
so save next year for us too. Though, next year there won't be a Lord of the
Rings installment...so what shall we go see? The Hobbit? Who knows. ;-)
Join us this Sunday at Gabriela's Mexican Restaurant on 75th street & Amsterdam
- the Upper West Side! We've been here once before and the food is really great.
Personally, I must say this is one of the better, more authentic Mexican
restaurants I have eaten at in recent times (unless you count the
super-hard-core spots on the Lower East Side where actual Mexicans eat).
Gabriela's has a great brunch deal which includes all sorts of Mexican delights,
cooked to our liking. Something for everyone. Their guacamole is particularly
compelling, I must say. And I am a staunch critic thereof.
It will be $20 for brunch, including tax and tip. Afterward we will head to a
spot nearby to continue our festivities. Always with the festivities!
Please Login & RSVP - it's very important that you sign up because we need to
know how many people are coming. By the way, we're gonna have New Years Day
brunch as well. Still working on it. Details for Monday dinner are coming soon too.
See you Sunday!
