Hey,

Anyone want to play on weekends? I'm a 3.5 USTA-rated player. Looking for a singles game.

I'd love to play. I played in a 3.5 league at Roosevelt Island this fall, but I'm probably more like a 3.0 since I don't play very often. Weekends would be perfect!

any non-rated players out there? I'm the type who just plays, and can keep the ball on the court and over the net, but can't serve properly. i do have a mean backhand slice though. The equivalent rating for a guy lke me is probably a .8 or a .9 ... just kidding (i hope)

Seriously though, how do you guys get your USTA ratings? do you have to be a member and play regularly?

I played in a USTA league this fall for the first time, and they have gone to a "self-rating" system - so they give you guidelines as to what each level means and take your best guess (I think you can always get "officially" rated, but I'm not that involved).

By the way - I'm a 2.5 or below, not a 3.5, I completely mis-spoke. :o (that's embarassment) That means I'm well below average, might as well be non-rated. So we might be on the same level!

I'm up for tennis. I haven't played much the past couple of years, but I played as a 3.5.

I'd be interested in playing on Sunday or Monday. I have'nt played in quite a few years. I bought a brand new raquet two years ago and have yet to use it. I guess I would be a non-rated player at this point!

I'd like to play singles or doubles, but have no idea about my rating (somewhere between 2.5 & 3.5). Weekends or after work are fine.
