Hey all you Boston folks! How's it going? Hope you're beating the heat!

I wanted to let you know that Ayana is no longer able to be our Boston Chapter organizer. She's left us to find greener pastures, and we wish her well.

But that leaves us without a Boston Chapter Organizer right now, and that's something I'd like to alleviate right away! I am thinking I'd like to create a Boston Committee, kind of like we have in London, where multiple people are working together to plan events so the responsibility does not rest on just one person, and the club benefits from multiple planning perspectives. What do you guys think? I've set up a thread in the Boston forum here to discuss how things might work in the future for the Boston Chapter.

Right now, we have the following positions open - and if you'd like to be a part of things, let me know!

Co-Chairpersons: There will be 2 chairpersons that will be responsible for overall management of the Boston Committee - sort of like the joint chiefs of staff ;-) You'll be holding regular committee meetings, overseeing the calendar, member relations and the like.

Four event planners: If you're social, outgoing, full of great ideas and want to help plan all kinds of gatherings that build community, consider joining the Event Planning group - here is where you can contribute all of your ideas and see them come to pass, and create all kinds of opportunities for people to meet each other and make new connections.

Please email me if you're interested in getting involved, and I will tell you more about the positions and compensation, etc.

I'm looking forward to creating a much more robust, active Boston Chapter - and together, I know we can do it! Thanks for your involvement in the club, and stay tuned for details on how things shape up.

Best wishes,

I think 4 different perspectives are great. I mean I love a good happy hour but I am required to go to so many similar things for my job that when it comes to socializing it's really one of the last things I feel like doing. Some more diversity in the acitivities would really make me want to be more involved....dance class, cooking class, yoga retreat......lots to do in this town.

I would LOVE to help be one of your four event planners. I've got lots of ideas for events and diverse activities. I live and work right in Boston. Let me know! Thanks!

I am also very aware of my surroundings when I go places. Hopefully I will hear from you soon, here is my cell phone if you would like to reach me it's 617 877-7462 thanks, Jillian.

Hey there! I would be interested in being part of things here in Boston - probably in the event planning or committee function. Look forward to hearing more and hope you have a terrific day!

I would be interested in helping out -- as an event planner. I sometimes get "envy" when I read all the activities that NYC has vs. Boston. I think Boston is a great city, and I am a recent transplant, so I *KNOW* I can't be alone in that thought.

Maybe we can have an informal/impromptu meet-up with all the folks who have expressed interests in getting this board up and running with more fun stuff!
