He he he!!! It was those champagne mojitos that probably did it. Drink loads of water and take a couple of nurofen. Have you stopped sluuuuuuurring??

I blame johnny mac!!!! Have stopped slurring but still spraying my drink (of water) at people!!!
Good to see so many people out, fun night!! Definitely worth the hangover!!!!!

Water??? What water....It was more like battery acid, and it burned my eyes to the point that I can no longer see... ;-)

Bit of a sore head here as well...too many Pimms and lemonade. But it was indeed a really good night and it was great to see lots of new faces...Hope to see some of them at the next Book Club meeting, which is likely to be on the evening of the second Wednesday in September (venue to be announced on the site soon). So plenty of time to read the next book:

The way my head is, I wouldnt be surprised if there was battery acid content in my drinks last night!!
Oh well, I'm sure some friday night champagne will sort me out!

Uuuuurrrggghhhh Veuve, definitely not!!!!! But it would be the choice of champagne if I wanted to go on another drink spraying rampage!!
i dunno, these people who get hangovers, wimps the lot of them. can't handle their booze.
last night was terrific fun, we will definitely have another one next month. methinks we'll make it a friday night this time so people can kick on longer because they don't have to work the next day. i'll track down a venue...

ok, i've just booked canteen for lunch for 12 people next friday (aug 4) ... it's one of the hottest new restaurants in london. i'll go post it as an event ... frist in, first served, we're limited to 12 people!

Oh know I can't make that one I will be getting drunk on champagne in Camden as it's my leaving do. So I have a nice saturday hangover to forward to.......

Agreed...
I'm not even sold on the fact that hangovers really exist. I don't think I've ever had one...perhaps the beer tasting event will have to change that. :D

Damn right Stuart!!!! It's amazing how many orifices a bowling ball can be inserted into if rammed hard enough!
Ilse: I didn't misbehave, I merely sprayed some of my drink through a straw at a couple of chaps who were getting a bit too cheeky!!!!!

I tell you. It's times like this I'm glad I don't drink. Otherwise I might have embarrassed myself by, ooh, I don't know, gesturing so wildly that I hooked my pint out of my own hand.
I don't generally get hangovers - Davey genes, my dad and sister are the same - but did feel a little jaded this morning. Good work all! Roll on the next one...

I'm up for another mix & mingle and definitely a Friday night stayover then I won't have to apologise again for the early mad dash for the train, did I miss any gossip ?
