Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to Jared, Stuart, James and the staff at Lanes plus, of course, all who attended tonight's dinner event. It was a cracking start to my Lunch Club existence and I trust everyone felt the same? Also, a big thumbs up to Simon for covering the cost of the wine at our table. As discussed - and with everyone now as my witness - I pick up the tab next time... Which I hope will be very, very soon. As discussed earlier, anything I can do to help, let me know: mi contact book su contact book as I believe they say on the continent...

Lovely to meet so many interesting people - do keep in touch all, as I meant it about the movies etc - and I hope to meet many more / the rest of you in due course.

I couldn't agree more. Last night proved to be everything I had hoped for and more. It was the perfect remedy to that age old challenge of meeting new, like-minded people in a somewhat non-threatening environment. Ok, I'd be a liar if I said that I didn't experience just a smidgen of butterflies and clammy palms; however as soon as the initial introductions were over and done with the nervous energy dissipated, making way for riveting conversation with a cross-section of the most fascinating people.

I left feeling truly satisfied and am already looking forward to the next event.
