View Full Version : Over 40 and in Boston

04-08-2006, 09:41 PM
I'm new to the club and I'm new to message boards. So, if I don't reply here please send me a message.

I enjoy meeting younger people too. But do we really need to wait till May 9 to have an over 40 meeting?

I'd love to do something sooner as well as later. Is that possible? Anyone else interested? I do though want to work within the policies of this club as I think it seems like a really great club! Any suggestions?

EXCELLENT! What part of Metro Boston are you in and do you have any suggestions for events?

I think that it's great to meet people in my age group. It's difficult these days.

Pretty new to Lunch Club and missed yesterday's event (Saturday 4/8). Hope to make one of the upcoming ones, but if you succeed in putting something together for 40+ before May, I'd be interested.

Glad to hear from you!

If you have any suggestions on what we might do I'm interested.

I have spoken via the L.C. private messages with Ayana (the Boston Chapter Founder of The Lunch Club) and she welcomes help in getting things planned.

Hey! Great! I'm new to Boston and definitely find it hard to meet people in their 40's and up. I guess it doesn't help that I'm really involved with work right now... But a May 9th event would be great, looking forward to it. If there is something a newbie in the club and a newbie to Boston can do to help, let me know.

Hi Folks: A Lot of you seem interested in helping to get The Lunch Club off to a good start here in Boston---well, here's one easy way to help :-)---If you haven't already, please sign up for Speed Friending next Thurs, and tell everyone else you know to as well......

FOX news and 90.9 FM WBUR radio will be covering it, and the publicity will really help to bring other cool people into the club for you to mingle with.

Plus it's FREE, and will be a lot of fun!

I would also appreciate help with planning future events---private message me if interested...

With a little teamwork, we can make the Boston Chapter just as great as NY! :-)

Hope this link works....
Speed Friending: Thurs 4/27 7:00 @ Charley's Eating and Drinking Saloon (Back Bay) (http://www.thelunchclub.net/clubhouse/lc_event_detail.php?mode=detail&id=649)

Thanks a bunch!

Hi Folks: I meant to post this before, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to Speed Friending last Thurs---it was a really great turnout and I think FOX News will provide some good press because of it!

Thanks again for a successful event! :-) A club is only as strong as its members...
