If it's low limit Texas Hold 'Em, friendly to beginners, I'm interested too!

I'm always in for a poker game. I am a smoker, just so you know, though if it's really that important I can probably rein in the habit. After all, if it comes down to being between poker and smoking, well....tough call, but the cards probably win.

I'm a fan of poker too, and I also have a bunch of chips.

I'd be interested in a poker game. I'd prefer No Limit Hold'em just because after seeing so many people do it on television, I'm dying to push a huge stack of chips and say "All in!". Of course, with that kind of reasoning, I guess I'm not likely to have a huge stack of chips to push...

I'm game too, and I perfer non-smokers too. Still, I'm open on that, and have been known to smoke a cigar from time to time.

I've got a bunch of chips too.

Poker and blackjack are very different games.

You can learn to play poker at the poker table, but it can be expensive.

You can get a bit of the feel by watching The World Series of Poker on ESPN or the World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel.

Ha!~ I need to keep the little "this is what hand you have" card next to me when I play, I'm so green. We need to have 2 tables to separate the clueless from the card sharks or my pockets will be to let. Either that or learn and get good quickly!

Do not know how to play, but really want to learn, so if you can tolerate beginners, count me in!

I'm brand-spankin' new...and I like poker. I'm in!

Ability-wise I fall somewhere between needing to ask if my cards are good and knowing if the other guy is bluffing by reading his "tells." If a game gets going, I'd love to join in.

Hi Poker players,

I can't tell from this message board if anyone has ever made a poker event. How about we open it up to all the Lunch Club members? Some may be interested but have never checked the message board. If we get a big turnout we can just split up into groups. Please let me know if you are interested in this, and we'll make it happen. Please indicate if you know the game (let's just say Texas Hold 'em) or if you need to learn. Also let me know if you are willing to bring your set so I can determine if we have enough per players. Other comments or suggestions welcome! Let me know ASAP! You can post right on this message board and I will get it.
