Hello to all the Artists in New York!
After 10 years of pounding the pavement, working in Musical Theater around the country, doing extra work, working on student and independent films, taking every workshop known to man in acting, dancing, singing, voice and the like...hey I didn't become famous but boy did I learn about what it takes to make it living in New York. My "Survival Guide for Artists in NYC" will be out in October. It is a practical living guide on living in NYC, relatively happy and healthy as well as how to find the economical choices for food, clothing and travel. There is also a chapter that is 25 pages long filled with over 100 companies for doing promotional modeling work, tradeshow modeling, mystery shopping and more odd jobs to help you pay the rent, when your career hasn't taken off yet. It is a perfect guide for someone who needs a "virtual friend" when they come to the city. I came to New York and learned things the hard way but with my book, you don't have to. Please do check out my site www.resourcegirl.com (http://www.resourcegirl.com) and check back in October for the release. Have a great day! Amy The Resource Girl

Amy,

If this is a digital download (rather than a physical book) it may be suited for affiliate promotion via the likes of ClickBank.com (a small army of affiliates promote various ebooks on their sites, to their lists, etc.). Also, although you'll have competitors from the get go for the terms "artist survival" and "artist survival new york" in Google's search results, there are currently no Google Adwords ads for those terms (which means you could put ads there for about 5 cents a pop - dirt cheap). The ads do get very expensive once any reference to "making money" is added though.

Just food for thought. Also, if you're not already an affiliate of the links you promote on your site that have affiliate programs (like Hotwire) you may want to consider that as well. You get credit for anyone who signs up through your links.
