If anybody knows of any volunteer opportunities outside of normal business hours, please let me know.
Unfortunately, I have to work for a living and most places want people who can volunteer between 9-5 and I can't. So, if you hear of anything, let me know.
Thanks,
Ciprianna

What are you good at? That do you want to do? There is a lot out there. I am involved with emergency radio communications and support organizations like the Red Cross and FEMA. There are many orgs that will let you work when you can.

Hi Ciprianna,
I am the team leader of a great project that needs a few more volunteers. It's from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday mornings and it's a MS Word/Resume tutorial for adults in Harlem. It's through NY Cares, which by the way has tons of super volunteer projects for 9-5ers. Check them out at www.nycares.org (http://www.nycares.org/)
Good luck,
Jill

Hey, thanks Jill for your post. I've been looking at NY Cares' site for years and aside from mentoring, I haven't been able to find anything. But, that's water under the bridge now. Perhaps we can discuss your resume project further off list.
If so, email me at ciprianna77@yahoo.com so that we can see if this would be a good match for us both.
Thanks again for responding,
Ciprianna

Ciprianna,
As we met at the last Entrepreneur luncheon I was very impressed with your passion for volunteering. I have a contact who is involved in many prolitical and community based volunteering opportunities in the New York City area.
One project she is currently working on is the Tribeca Film Festival is looking for volunteers.
If you're interested in contacting her please send me an email at SirReid@Success4U2.net and I will put you both in touch with each other.
